Abstract：The future large-scale wireless Ad Hoc network, which is not only to ensure the efficient transmission of data, but also to ensure the network topology can adapt to the rapid changes. The existing Modified-Unifying Slot Assignment Protocol (M-USAP) can complete the interaction of the control information of the whole network in one frame, and each node has entire routing information of the network. Thus, M-USAP can quickly adapt to the changes of the network topology in the small-scale network. Nevertheless, with the increasing of the network’s scale, there are some shortcomings such as large routing overhead, slow routing convergence, high end-to-end delay, low node throughout, slot reuse rate and slow network response.In view of the above problems, this paper proposes a Clustering-Unifying Slot Assignment Protocol (C-USAP) for large-scale Ad Hoc networks. The protocol is based on clustering technology, the dynamic time division multiple access protocol is adapted to inner-cluster communication and the multi-band segmentation technology is adopted to inter-cluster communication, which achieves the interaction of inner-cluster and inter-cluster. The simulation results show that this protocol has the characteristics of fast convergence of routing, smooth transmission and reception, low end-to-end delay, high slot reuse rate and network flexibility.
